![]() the thistle ->So named because the owner, who is, technically, of English descent and name and not Scots so much- though I have never seen him in a kilt- became the first Wildebeest owner/rider to venture to another land. This frameset was delivered to him agonizingly close to his time for departure for a two week bicycle jaunt throughout Scotland (hence the nickname- finally), and the staff here are proud to write that the only thing that went amiss was that the rear rack broke- and that was discovered only upon the owner's return to the tundra.Said owner already has a full-on touring bike in his collection, so this frameset is essentially a cycleacross with a couple of migrator-type touches (mainly three bottle mounts, and slightly longer wheelbase.) He did get the 'beest built in time to have a couple of good test rides in Minneapolis before he packed it all up for the flight across the Atlantic, just in case you were wondering... |
