As suggested in the previous photo, the tube has been marked, cut, filed and sanded to produce the miter. Now this tube, courtesy of this miter, can cuddle right up against the tube to which it will be brazed.

Of course, this junction will not be seen, as such, on the final frame- do not forget that this miter will be masked by the lug you saw in the previous photo.
