the honeybell ->

The owner of this bicycle coined the name Honeybell because the color of the powdercoat, upon first viewing, was a dead ringer for that on the peel of a honeybell tangelo. It was not exactly the color she requested, but she was very flexible in this regard, and has come to love the color, and the bike.

Technically, in Wildebeest terms, this frameset is the prototype of the cycleacross model (name also coined by the same person)- a bike that will cycle across anything, performance geometry blended into touring frame philosophy. Many other custom builders have similar takes on this idea. Ultimately, whether you ride a Cycleacross or a like-minded frame from another maker, you probably have the one bike you need to go everywhere.
