3. the honeybell ->

Here is the H'bell, in the process of becoming a real bicycle. The component group is Campagnolo Centaur, ten speed. The wheeeeels are built up with Centaur hubs, Velocity rims and Wheelsmith spokes; the saddle is from Brooks, the handlebar Nitto, and the other bits from other bitmakers. The pipes themselves, to continue this theme, are True Temper (prob'ly Verus HT, I do not remember for sure), the lugs are from here and there, and the dropouts are made out of metal.

Many more photos exist of this bike, of various stages of what turned out to be an overly-long and disaster-beset construction process, but I no longer see the need to share my early framebuilding challenges with the world. The owner of this bike quite loves it, and it rides great- I have ridden it, after all- but it is a prototype. The owner has long been promised a replacement to this frameset, a Honeybell Mk.2 if you will, and when that appears you will see it here first.
