merino wool

August 2010: The immense marketing department at Wildebeest Bicycles wish you to know that we still have some 100 percent merino wool cycling jerseys for sale.

Now, indeed it is summer, and when it is as hot as it is where it is hot, being, of course, summer, one does not always think first of merino wool.

But, one should always think of merino wool, as it is as fine as anything as fine as it is, being merino, which is wool, which you would really like.

The jerseys look like the one in the photograph there, with flocked lettering that mimics my own handwriting so as not to look too much like anything else out there.

The majority of this initial order was made available to current Wildebeest owners and customers, as well as family and select coworkers; they have almost all claimed their garments, which is good and gratifying. In fact, there are currently more people wearing Wildebeest jerseys than there are riding Wildebeest framesets. (Am I in the right business?)

However, not all the jerseys have been snatched up, so here is an opportunity to latch onto a high quality wool garment for a terrific price. These will be sold first-come-first-served, so act soon.

The jerseys were not fashioned in the Vast Production Facility- they were, in fact, sourced from the inimitable Chad at Oregon Cyclewear, which you may gather to be an internet business based in Oregon (which is what it is). Even if you choose not to buy a Wildebeest jersey, you should treat yourself to one of Chad's jerseys anyway- but in that case, yours would not say "wildebeest" across the front. Pity that.

Anywho, you can procure a Wildebeest woolie for the fabulous price of $70, plus shipping if you are not local to the VPF (read, if you are not here in the TwinCities).

Payment will need to be by check (made out to Wildebeest Bicycles), as I do not have the means to accept credit cards.

To place an order, use the means listed on the contact page, and we will talk about it.
