the embee oneWho would take a perfectly good, vintage Bridgestone MB-1 and hack it up? A friend of the head 'beest decided that the very MB-1 seen in the next few photos would serve his substantial bicycle collection better of it existed in the form of a singlespeed. But rather than just stick a single cog and a bunch of spacers on the freehub, and take up the chain slack with a tension device like a singleator, he deemed it appropriate to have the frame go under the torch, and come out sporting proper horizontal rear-loads.My apologies in advance for the small image sizes here. This gallery was present on the old website, but our graphics department no longer has access to the full-sized original photo digits from which these pictures came. This is one gallery that would prob'ly look better on an old Bondi blue Apple Macintosh from the previous century. If you have a magnifying glass or jeweler's loupe around, such a tool might come in handy here... |
