1. the embee one

I am not really sure how much explanatory text is necessary for this series of photos; perhaps they speak sufficiently for themselves. Just read them like a book, left to right, top to bottom.

There are likely other ways to go about a frame modification like this, and more experienced builders who have occasion to see this site may roll their eyes and shake their heads, or worse shudder in horror, but the end result is effective, functional, safe and, once the owner has his way with finishing details, likely lovely.

The kinda rusty bits seen in photo 3 are, as you may have gathered, the new dropouts; these are veritable slabs of laser-cut steel procured from Henry James, a major supplier for framebuilding parts, fixtures and supplies.
