the first wildebeest ->

This photo is from January 2005, at United Bicycle Institute, the venue for the book-larnin' that got me to this point. That is, in fact, the original Wildebeest in the jig, resting after the big brazing session that changed him from a bunch of loose metal parts into a fledgling bike frame.

Clever viewers will notice differences between the jig I use here at Wildebeest, and the fixture shown here; in time, I may work with an armature such as this. It is a fine tool.
