![]() the first migrator ->The first proper touring frameset produced by Wildebeest. The impetus for this project came from my dear friend and fellow wrench Greg, who deemed his personal bike quiver sadly lacking a touring rig. His excitement was ramped up (a regretable modern phrase, really, and I am sorry I used it- read, "His excitement was heightened...") when we found Reynolds 531 tubing* available for sale- a most appropriate material for a vintage-flavored frame design.* - 531 is a famous chromoly formulation, legendary really, but one which has not been available in many years. The tubes that make up this frame are thirty-odd years old, "new-old-stock" procured from Bicycle Classics. |
